I have been a member of the bmdcsew (bernese mountain dog club of southeastern wisconsin) since 1997 and the bmdca (bernese mountain dog club of america) since 1999. I do not breed often, but when i do, i am very selective about what dogs will be bred and where those puppies end up. Although large and strong, the dogs are not overtly dominant.

Slow to mature, these dogs keep their puppyish tendencies for longer than other breeds. Both lee and i have held various board of director positions including president of both the illinois and wisconsin clubs (elaine) and president of the kennel club of yorkville (lee). We've bred this combination of bernese mountain dogs & golden's and or english creme retrievers to get the best of both worlds of these loving breeds.
